Kai is officially 1 year old.  His first birthday was a small celebration with an extra-large amount of love, and gifts.  Unfortunately I decided that I was going to be the host and photographer for the event, but that didn’t go well at all.  I was running back and forth like a chicken with its head cut off, and I was not able to take the shots that needed to be taken.  Lesson learned: Hire a photographer the next time, or delegate the hosting to a third-party service provider.  This shot is actually the gift opening after-party.  But for what is worth he was very cranky and not all that happy at his party.  There were just too many people in his way; even though we kept it very small, and he didn’t feel like talking nor being touched by anyone that day.  Hey, it’s like that some times.  Deal!
